Judy lives in Mountain View, Arkansas, a little town nestled in the heart of the Ozarks, often referred to as the "Folk Music Capital of
the World"! She got her first dulcimer in 1964 and began her career, playing, teaching and performing.
Judy presently works part time at "The Dulcimer Shoppe" where McSpadden dulcimers are made and has been writing books for the instrument since 2003.
She enjoys teaching workshops at the Ozark Folk Center and has helped many begin their dulcimer journeys in her New Player classes.
When she isn’t playing music, you'll find her up on Dodd mountain with her husband, Pete - playing with bread dough and garden dirt!
